one pot + vagabond = nov 13

one pot + vagabond round II. location = portalis wine. sublime food by Matt Dillon of Sitka and Spruce fame. but the evening had a dull edge, felt like a night at a robust restaurant, but lacked the energy of round I, lacked the rubenesque curve, overstaffed, no chaos, a little too sophisticated for one pot, one pot tips its hat to portalis, and hits the road looking for venues with a little more grit. menu = stunning duck rillete, celery root waldorf, beef cheeks ravioli in brodo, sweet potato pie with blue cheese ice cream – again sounded odd - but again - was memorable and perfectly executed. - MH
