there was the bread fight with shamim momin – the curator of the whitney biennial – who very strangely decided to make herself completely transparent to a large swath of the local arts community while supping on one pot soup and fielding darts and love poems – so much for cloak and dagger curators – she was present, fully exposed, and clearly unafraid to get down in the muck. it will be interesting to see her ultimate response to this little hamlet. - MH
